Savvy Shopping 101

My frugal fashion bugs, times are tough and it is my personal mission to keep you fashionable and well within your budget. There's nothing like finding the perfect boots for the fall or sundress for the spring, but what if you found those boots in June and that dress in November? Yes people, I am talking about shopping out of season.
To some of you this may seem unnatural -- but shopping out of season is a great way to get what you want for a lot less. Buying ahead of time can save you a bundle -- but it is not for the faint of heart. I put together some tips that will help you become the savvy shopper that you were destined to be.
Tip #1: Plan ahead
Go through your closet and find what's missing in your wardrobe essentials. This will prepare you for your shopping excursions and keep you from buying something unnecessary just because it is on sale.
Tip #2: Seek items that can be worn throughout the seasons
A shift dress in a bright color is great for warmer months but can be paired with dark-colored tights when the temperature starts to drop. The great thing about Orlando is that you'll never have heavy coats taking up space in your closet so look for lighter jackets that can be used to layer.
Tip #3: You can't go wrong with cotton
This fabric is by far the most versatile. Cotton breathes well so it will keep you cool from March to October and when it's layered it will keep you warm in cooler weather.
